Ecommerce website price in Pakistan: the real yearly cost
What an ecommerce website really costs in Pakistan in its first year, route by route: a developer, WordPress, Shopify, Webx or a free store. Every price is in rupees, dated October 2026 and linked to the page it came from.
Ecommerce website price in Pakistan: the short answer
The ecommerce website price in Pakistan depends less on the website and more on who builds it and who keeps it running. Here is what the first year costs on each route, as of October 2026:
- A free store builder such as Storelala: Rs 0. Add about Rs 3,000–4,500 if you want your own .com or .pk address.
- WordPress with WooCommerce, set up yourself: about Rs 8,500–9,000 for an address and a year of hosting. A paid look and one paid extension take it to about Rs 63,000.
- Webx: Rs 23,400 a year on Lite, Rs 35,580 on Basic billed yearly.
- Shopify Basic billed yearly: $228, about Rs 69,400 once your bank’s card charges and advance tax are added.
- A developer-built site: the developer’s quote, plus the address, hosting and upkeep underneath it.
Every route then pays the same courier charges and the same tax couriers deduct from cash on delivery money: 2% if you are on FBR’s Active Taxpayers List. Those are further down, because they come with every order, whatever website you pick.
Dollar prices are converted at Rs 278 to the dollar, close to the State Bank’s interbank rate of about Rs 277 on October 2, 2026.
What you pay for on any route
Every online store is made of the same five parts. The routes differ in which parts you buy one by one and which come in a single price.
- Your address. The .com or .pk name, bought from a registrar and renewed on time.
- Hosting. The server that keeps the store online. Builders include it. WordPress needs you to buy it.
- The look. A free or paid design for your store.
- Checkout and payments. Cash on delivery, plus cards and wallets through a payment gateway if you add one.
- Upkeep. Updates, backups and fixes. On a builder, the company does them. On WordPress or a custom site, you or your developer do.
A quote that covers only the build is not the price of the store. The upkeep is the part that keeps billing you.
Ecommerce website development cost in Pakistan
There is no reliable price list for a developer-built ecommerce website in Pakistan, because most agencies quote per job. Websouls, a Pakistani host, lists its Basic, Business and Custom web development packages as “On Call”, with no rupee figure, as of October 3, 2026.
The packages still show what to read closely in any quote. Basic lists 15 days of support and Business lists 30, so ask what a fix costs once those days run out. Business also includes a free .com and hosting, so ask what both cost to renew in the second year.
The developer’s fee is also not the whole price. If your developer builds on WordPress with WooCommerce, the address, hosting, look and extension costs in the next section come on top of their fee, and someone has to keep the site updated after launch. Get two or three quotes and compare them on the same checklist.
WordPress ecommerce website price in Pakistan
WordPress with WooCommerce is the cheapest way to own a full store website, if you set it up yourself. WooCommerce’s pricing page says it is free to download and use, with no platform fees and no revenue share. Everything around it has a price.
| What you buy | Published price, as of October 2026 | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| .com address | Rs 2,999 at Websouls (normally Rs 3,999); Rs 3,430 at HosterPK, renewing at Rs 3,900 | Yearly |
| .pk address | Rs 4,299 at Websouls; Rs 4,499 at HosterPK | Every two years, the minimum term |
| WordPress hosting | HosterPK WordPress I Rs 5,490 (one site, 1,000 MB); Websouls Startup Rs 9,990 with a free .com for the first year, renewing at Rs 16,650; WebHostingPK Freelancer Rs 2,000, the same at renewal (shared hosting) | Yearly |
| A paid look | Astra Pro $99 for the first year, renewing at $149; WooCommerce’s own themes $49–$129 | Yearly, in dollars |
| Paid extensions | Product Add-Ons $79; Product Bundles $79; Subscriptions $279 | Yearly, in dollars |
A bare store, with a .com address and HosterPK’s smallest WordPress plan, costs about Rs 8,500–9,000 in the first year. Websouls’ Startup plan comes to Rs 9,990 because the .com is included, then renews at Rs 16,650 plus the address. WebHostingPK’s shared plan with a .com gets you close to Rs 5,000, but it is general hosting, so check it against WooCommerce’s server requirements (PHP 8.3 or newer, MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.6 or newer) before you buy. All three assume you install WordPress, pick a free look and add the products yourself.
Paying in dollars adds charges. Bank Alfalah’s schedule of charges for July to December 2026 takes 4.5% (at least Rs 125) on foreign transactions on its credit cards, and up to 5% over the market rate on debit cards. The same schedule lists advance tax on international transactions at 5% for filers and 10% for non-filers, plus federal excise duty or sales tax on the bank’s fees. Other banks set their own rates, so check your bank’s schedule.
Astra Pro and Product Add-Ons together are $178, about Rs 49,500, or about Rs 54,200 with a 4.5% card charge and 5% advance tax. Add the bare store and the first year comes to about Rs 63,000, before any developer. In the second year Astra Pro renews at $149, so the two together are $228, the same as a year of Shopify Basic billed yearly.
How cash on delivery, card plugins and couriers work on it, and who it suits, is in our guide to WooCommerce in Pakistan.
Shopify: a plan billed in dollars
Shopify’s Basic plan is $25 a month, or $19 a month billed yearly ($228), on its Pakistan pricing page as of October 2026. Hosting, the look and upkeep are included. The bill is in dollars, so the card charges above apply.
- Basic billed yearly: about Rs 63,400 at Rs 278 to the dollar, about Rs 69,400 with a 4.5% card charge and 5% advance tax.
- Basic billed monthly: $300 a year, about Rs 91,300 with the same charges.
- A paid look from Shopify’s Theme Store: $100–$500 for the ones listed on October 3, 2026. Free looks cost nothing.
Shopify Payments is not available in Pakistan, so card payments go through a third-party gateway, and Shopify adds a third-party transaction fee on those orders. Cash on delivery is a manual payment method, and Shopify charges no transaction fee on it. The trial changes often: on October 3, 2026 it was 3 days free, then $1 a month for 3 months. The full breakdown is in what Shopify costs in Pakistan.
Webx: plans billed in rupees
Webx is a Pakistani store builder that prices its plans in rupees, with hosting included. Its pricing page, read on October 3, 2026:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Products | Fee on online payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | Rs 1,950 | No yearly price shown | 50 | 2.5% |
| Basic | Rs 3,950 | Rs 2,965 a month | 500 | 1.25% |
| Business | Rs 7,950 | Rs 5,965 a month | Unlimited | 0.75% |
| Advanced | Rs 24,950 | Rs 18,715 a month | Unlimited | 0.45% |
A year of Lite is Rs 23,400. Basic is Rs 35,580 billed yearly, or Rs 47,400 paid month by month. The fee applies to payments through third-party providers. Webx says it charges no transaction fee on cash on delivery, bank transfers or other offline payments.
There is a free trial, 7 days according to Webx’s help pages, and no free plan is listed on the pricing page. Webx’s terms allow price changes on 14 days’ notice, so recheck before you pay for a year.
Create an online store for free in Pakistan
A free online store is possible. Before you pick one, check what free covers: whether you can take orders, and whether cash on delivery works without an upgrade.
- Storelala. Free to make and to sell on, with no card needed. Your store goes live at yourbrand.storelala.com with cash on delivery built into checkout, and you run it from your phone. When you are ready, move to your own .pk or .com address; the store and orders stay the same.
- Wix. Wix lists its payment providers for Pakistan as “N/A”. Cash on delivery works as a manual payment, but only on a plan that supports payments. Plan prices vary by country, so check them from Pakistan.
- Daraz. Daraz charges no listing fee and takes a commission on each order that depends on the category. You sell inside Daraz under its rules, not on a store of your own. Our guide to Daraz vs your own online store covers the trade-off, and the Daraz profit calculator shows what a sale there leaves you.

First-year cost side by side
As of October 2026, for one store, before courier charges and packaging.
| Route | First year | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Storelala | Rs 0; about Rs 3,000–4,500 more with your own .com or .pk | Your address renewal, if you have one |
| WordPress, set up yourself | About Rs 8,500–9,000 | Hosting and address renewals; a .com renews at Rs 3,900 at HosterPK |
| WordPress with a paid look and one extension | About Rs 63,000 | $228 in renewals, about Rs 69,400 with charges, plus hosting and address |
| Webx Lite | Rs 23,400 | 2.5% on online payments; 50 products |
| Webx Basic | Rs 35,580 billed yearly, Rs 47,400 monthly | 1.25% on online payments; 500 products |
| Shopify Basic | About Rs 69,400 billed yearly, Rs 91,300 monthly | The rupee rate, and a fee on third-party card payments |
| Developer-built | The quote, plus address and hosting | Upkeep fee, renewals, and fixes after support ends |
Dollar prices use Rs 278 to the dollar, plus a 4.5% card charge and 5% advance tax for a filer. A non-filer pays 10% advance tax, which adds about Rs 3,200 to a year of Shopify Basic.
Spread over orders, the gap is smaller than it looks. At 100 orders a month, Shopify Basic billed yearly is about Rs 58 an order and Webx Lite about Rs 20, before any fee on card payments. A 0.5 kg PostEx parcel from Karachi to Lahore costs Rs 274.05 on its own, so delivery, not the website, is the bigger cost per order.
Ecommerce website charges every store pays
These come with every order, on every route, whatever the website cost:
- Delivery. PostEx’s public calculator on October 3, 2026 gave Rs 274.05 for 0.5 kg from Karachi to Lahore, Rs 305.37 for 1 kg, and Rs 156.60 for 0.5 kg within Karachi, fuel surcharge and GST included. Merchant accounts get their own tariff sheet, and the COD collection fee is not on the calculator. Compare couriers with the courier charges calculator and our guide to the best courier service in Pakistan.
- Tax on cash on delivery. Under FBR’s Circular 01 of 2025–26, the courier deducts tax from the gross COD amount when it sends you the money, and the bank or gateway does the same on online payments. FBR’s withholding rate card for tax year 2027 sets it at 2% on COD and 1% online if you are on the Active Taxpayers List, and 4% and 2% if you are not. On a Rs 3,000 COD order, 2% is Rs 60. The detail is in online business tax in Pakistan.
- A card gateway, if you add one. Bank Alfalah’s July to December 2026 schedule lists its internet payment gateway at up to Rs 100,000 to integrate, up to Rs 50,000 a year, and 3.5% plus Rs 35 per transaction, all marked as variable. Shopify and Webx add their own fee on gateway payments; WooCommerce does not. See payment gateways in Pakistan.
- Returns. A refused COD parcel has already cost you delivery and earns nothing. See how to reduce COD returns, and run your numbers through the COD profit calculator.
- Packaging. Flyers, boxes and tape for every parcel. Our guide to packaging for an online business covers what to buy.
How much of the delivery charge to pass to the buyer is in delivery charges for your online store.
What to ask a developer before you pay
Get these in writing before you pay a deposit:
- The setup price, and what it covers: pages, how many products they upload, payment and courier setup, and rounds of changes.
- The price after launch for updates, backups and fixes, as a fixed yearly fee or per hour.
- Who owns what. The address and hosting account should be in your name, and the admin login should be handed to you.
- Which platform they build on, and whether another developer could take it over.
- Every cost in dollars, such as looks, extensions and apps, and who renews them.
- How long support lasts, and what a fix costs after it ends.
- The date the store goes live.
Then compare the quotes on what each costs over two years, not on the setup price.
Which route fits which seller
- Shopify if you sell abroad, need a specific Shopify app, and are fine paying in dollars.
- WooCommerce if you have a developer or want to learn WordPress, and need something only a plugin does.
- Webx if you want a builder billed in rupees and plan to take card or wallet payments through it.
- A developer if your store needs something no builder offers.
- Storelala if you sell on cash on delivery, run the business from your phone, and want to start without paying.
