Shopify price in Pakistan: plans, fees and real cost
What Shopify actually costs a seller in Pakistan, from Shopify’s own pages: the four plans in US dollars, monthly against yearly, the trial and the $1 months, and the fees that come on top. Then how cash on delivery works on Shopify, and what to sort out with your bank before the first dollar bill.
Every number below is from Shopify’s own pages, checked in October 2026 and linked where it appears. Shopify changes its prices and offers, so open the linked page before you pay. If you want to know what Shopify is and how it works first, read Shopify kya hai.
Shopify plan prices for Pakistan
Shopify’s pricing page for Pakistan shows prices in US dollars, not rupees. Each plan has two prices: one if you pay month to month, a lower one if you pay for the year.
- Basic: $25 a month billed monthly, or $19 a month billed yearly.
- Grow: $65 a month billed monthly, or $49 a month billed yearly.
- Advanced: $399 a month billed monthly, or $299 a month billed yearly.
- Plus: starts at $2,300 a month, for large businesses.
The yearly price is not paid monthly. Shopify’s help page on billing cycles says annual billing “charges the full year upfront”, so Basic on yearly billing is one charge of $228. Monthly billing costs more over 12 months, but you can stop whenever you want.
A new seller with one person running the store looks at Basic. Grow adds staff accounts, which you need once someone else packs and confirms orders.
The free trial and the $1 months
The pricing page says: “Try 3 days free, then US$1/month for 3 months.” Its FAQ adds that the trial needs no credit card, and that “most plans” start at $1 a month for the first 3 months, then switch to standard monthly pricing.
Three things in Shopify’s free trial help page catch people out:
- You cannot sell on the trial. The store starts in private mode or with checkout off. To take orders you choose a paid plan, so the card comes in before your first sale.
- The store pauses when the trial ends if you have not picked a plan. Your products and settings are kept.
- Apps can charge during the trial. App charges you add go on your next bill, and Shopify says trials and promotional pricing are not extended or reset.
What the first year costs
On Basic, from Shopify’s prices above, before anything else is added:
- Monthly, if your account gets the $1 offer: $1 a month for 3 months, then $25 a month for 9 months: $228 for the year.
- Yearly: $228 charged at once.
- From the second year on monthly billing: $25 × 12 = $300 a year.
That is the plan alone, in dollars. Your bank converts each charge to rupees at its own rate on the day, so the rupee amount on your statement moves with the dollar. Then add the items below. To set this against a WordPress site, a developer or a free store, see the ecommerce website price in Pakistan, route by route.
Transaction fees without Shopify Payments
Shopify’s own card processing, Shopify Payments, is not open here: Pakistan is not on the supported countries list, and that page says if your country is not listed, you need a third-party payment provider.
When a third-party provider takes a payment, Shopify charges a third-party transaction fee on the order, worked out as (product price minus discounts, plus tax and shipping) times your plan’s rate. It is “in addition to” the gateway’s own processing fee, and it is not returned when you refund the order.
The rate depends on your plan. The Pakistan pricing page does not list it, and Shopify’s payment providers page says to check the pricing page or contact Shopify Support for your location. Ask support for the rate on your plan before you connect a card or wallet gateway, then add it to the gateway’s fee. Our guide to payment gateways in Pakistan covers what the local gateways ask for.
Cash on delivery on Shopify
Cash on delivery on Shopify is a manual payment method. You turn it on in Settings, then Payments, pick Cash on Delivery (COD) from the suggested methods, and write the instructions the buyer sees after ordering.
- No transaction fee. Shopify says you are not charged third-party transaction fees on manual payments, so a COD order costs you nothing extra from Shopify.
- Orders show as unpaid. A COD order is marked pending. When the courier pays you the cash, you open the order and mark it as paid yourself.
- The courier is separate. You book the parcel with your courier and keep the tracking number with the order.
Shopify’s help page also notes that the old Advanced Cash on Delivery app is no longer in the App Store, and points sellers to the standard COD option in payment settings. Before you set a price, run one order through the COD profit calculator with your courier charge and return rate, and add your Shopify cost per order to it.
Themes, apps and your own address
- Themes: Shopify has free themes. Paid themes on the Shopify Theme Store ran from $100 to $500 when we checked in October 2026.
- Apps: prices vary by app. Some have free plans, many charge monthly, and some charge per use. App charges go on your Shopify bill in dollars. Add up the apps you actually need, such as reviews, order confirmation or size charts, before you compare plans.
- Your own address: every Shopify store gets a free myshopify.com address. Shopify’s domains page says names bought through Shopify “typically start at $9 USD/year”, with the exact price shown before you buy. You can also connect an address you bought elsewhere.
Paying Shopify from a Pakistani card
Shopify’s local currency billing covers a short list of countries, and Pakistan is not on it. “For all other countries and regions, Shopify bills are issued in USD.” So every bill, the plan, apps, themes and transaction fees, comes as a dollar charge on your card.
- Turn on international online use. Check that your card is enabled for foreign online payments. Ask your bank how to switch this on; some banks do it in their app, others through the helpline. Do it before the trial ends.
- Check your limit. Banks set limits on foreign card spending. Make sure yours covers a yearly plan if you choose one, since that is charged in one go.
- Expect the rupee amount to differ. Your bank converts at its own rate and may add its own charges on foreign transactions. Your bank’s schedule of charges lists them.
- Watch for the test charge. Shopify’s payment methods page says your bank may place a small temporary hold, around $1, to check the card. Its billing cycles page also says some Visa debit cards might not work for Shopify billing, so keep a second card as a backup.
Set a reminder a few days before each billing date, and keep enough rupees in the account to cover the dollar amount at your bank’s rate.
Shopify or Storelala
Shopify is a strong product, and if you sell abroad or need its app store, the costs above are the price of that. For a seller in Pakistan selling on cash on delivery, the question is simpler: what does a working store with COD cost you before your first order?
- To start: Shopify needs a paid plan before checkout opens. Storelala is free to start.
- Card: Shopify bills a card in dollars. Storelala needs no card.
- Cash on delivery: on Shopify you switch on COD as a manual method and mark orders paid. Storelala’s checkout takes cash on delivery, JazzCash, Easypaisa and cards, all built in, chosen by the buyer.
- Courier: on Storelala, PostEx, Leopards and TCS are booked right from the order screen, and the tracking number goes to your buyer on WhatsApp.
- Your address: Shopify gives yourbrand.myshopify.com. Storelala gives yourbrand.storelala.com, and you can move to yourbrand.pk or yourbrand.com whenever you are ready, with your store and orders unchanged.
- Fees on orders: Shopify charges no transaction fee on COD orders, but does on gateway payments. Storelala takes no marketplace commission.

Questions sellers ask
What is the Shopify price in Pakistan per month?
As of October 2026, Shopify’s Pakistan pricing page shows prices in US dollars: Basic is $25 a month billed monthly or $19 a month billed yearly, Grow is $65 or $49, and Advanced is $399 or $299. Plus starts at $2,300 a month. Yearly billing is charged in full upfront.
Is Shopify free in Pakistan?
No. Shopify offers a 3-day free trial with no card needed, then most plans cost $1 a month for the first 3 months before the standard price starts. Your store’s checkout only opens once you pick a paid plan, and if the trial ends without one, the store is paused.
Can I pay Shopify in Pakistani rupees?
No. Shopify’s help page lists the countries that can be billed in local currency, and Pakistan is not one of them. For every other country, bills are issued in US dollars, so you need a card that works for international online payments.
Is Shopify Payments available in Pakistan?
No. Pakistan is not on Shopify’s list of supported countries for Shopify Payments, so a Pakistani store has to use a third-party payment provider or manual methods such as cash on delivery.
Does Shopify charge a fee on cash on delivery orders?
No. Shopify’s help pages say third-party transaction fees do not apply to manual payment methods, which include cash on delivery and bank deposits. The fee applies when a third-party gateway takes the payment, on top of that gateway’s own charges.
How much does a Shopify theme cost?
Shopify has free themes. Paid themes on the Shopify Theme Store ranged from $100 to $500 when we checked in October 2026, and a theme purchase is added to your Shopify bill.
Storelala is the Shopify alternative in Pakistan: your own store at yourbrand.storelala.com, cash on delivery, JazzCash, Easypaisa and cards at checkout, couriers booked from the order screen with tracking sent on WhatsApp, and no marketplace commission. It runs from your phone and is free to start, with no card needed. Start your store and take your first order before you pay anyone in dollars.
