Eid sale ideas for your online store in Pakistan

Storelala Team

How to run a Ramadan and Eid sale from the seller’s side: work back from the expected Eid date to stock, stitching and courier deadlines, write a last order date, and pick offers that do not eat your profit. Then confirm the rush, pack it, and handle the exchanges after Eid.

Search for an Eid sale in Pakistan and you get lists of brands with their discounts. That is the shopper’s side. This guide is for the seller running the sale: what to decide in Ramadan, when to stop taking orders, and how to keep the profit you made once the exchanges come in after Eid.

Ramadan and Eid 2027 dates

Plan on estimates, and plan on the early side. Based on the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia, Ramadan 1448 runs from about February 8 to March 8, 2027, and Eid ul Fitr falls on about March 9, 2027.

Pakistan does not follow that calendar. The date is announced after the moon is sighted, the evening before, so Eid here can land on a different day. Use March 9 as your working date for every deadline. If Eid comes a day later, your buyers simply get their parcels with a day to spare. If you are still choosing what to sell this season, start with these Ramadan business ideas.

Work back from Eid

Every Eid deadline comes from the date the buyer needs the parcel in their hands. Write these down in Ramadan’s first week, or earlier:

  • Stock. Ask your supplier how long a reorder takes in Ramadan. The answer may be longer than in a normal month, so ask now, not in week three. Order your main Eid stock before Ramadan starts, and keep the reorder for the designs that sell out.
  • Stitching. If you sell stitched clothes, ask your tailor or stitching unit for their own last date for Eid work, and ask before Ramadan starts. Take their date, not yours, and stop taking stitched orders a few days before it.
  • Courier. Ask your courier three things: delivery time to your farthest cities in the last two weeks of Ramadan, the last pickup before the Eid holidays, and the day they start picking up again after Eid. Our comparison of the best courier services in Pakistan helps if you want a second account ready.
  • Your own hours. You will be fasting, packing and answering messages. Count how many orders you can confirm and pack in a day without mistakes, and plan to that number, not to your hopes.

Write a last order date

“Eid orders closed” is something buyers search for. Say it, with a date, before they ask. The method:

  • Start from your working Eid date.
  • Subtract the courier’s delivery time to your farthest city, using the slow end of the range they give you.
  • Subtract a day to confirm the order and a day to pack and hand over.
  • Subtract a few more days for the rush before Eid, when every brand is shipping at once.

Here is a made-up example to show the method, not real courier times. If your courier quotes up to five days to other cities, a seller in Lahore might write: “Last order for delivery before Eid: March 1 for all of Pakistan, March 4 for Lahore.” Put that line in your sale post, in your Instagram bio, in your WhatsApp status and in the description of every Eid product.

After the date, keep taking orders if you like, but say clearly that they ship after Eid. A suit that arrives the day after Eid is often refused at the door.

Offers that keep your margin

An Eid buyer needs the parcel by a date, so being on time can sell better than being cheap. You may not need a discount at all. If you want an offer, these cost you less than a flat percentage off everything:

  • Bundles. Courier and packaging cost about the same for one piece as for two. List the bundle as its own product at its own price: “Two kids’ kurtas for Rs 3,800”, “Suit and dupatta set”. The buyer gets a reason to add a piece, and you pay the courier once.
  • Free delivery above an amount. Pick an amount above your usual order, so the free delivery buys you a bigger order, not the same one at a lower profit. Check how your checkout shows delivery before you promise it. A buyer who reads “free delivery” and then sees a delivery charge will message to ask, or leave.
  • A gift with the order. Eidi envelopes, a small attar sample, a matching scrunchie, gift wrapping. Its cost is small and fixed, it does not touch your price, and it shows up in the unboxing video.
  • An early-bird price. A lower price for the first ten days of Ramadan moves orders away from the last-week rush, when every brand is shipping at once.

Whatever you pick, work it out per product first. The discount calculator shows your profit before and after an offer and how many more orders you need to earn the same. The profit margin calculator gives the margin at the new price, and the COD profit calculator adds courier, ads and the parcels that come back. Our guide on how to price products in Pakistan has the full formula.

If you do lower a price, change it on the product yourself, write the date you will put it back, and say the old and new prices in your post. Do not raise a price in Shaban so you can “cut” it in Ramadan. Buyers screenshot prices. The same rules are in our guide to the 11.11 sale.

Announce it

Tell the people who already bought from you first. They trust you, and messaging them is free.

  • WhatsApp broadcast. One message to past buyers with the offer, three products, the last order date and your store link. Send it once at the start of Ramadan and once a week before the last order date. Keep it to that. WhatsApp’s help page on broadcast lists says only contacts who have saved your number receive them. Our guide to the WhatsApp Business catalog covers setting up the account.
  • Instagram. A post per product, the offer and last order date in stories, and the date in your bio. Show the parcel in your Eid packing so buyers see it will look like a gift. The Urdu post maker makes a quick Urdu graphic for the last order date.
  • Facebook and Instagram ads. Start them early in Ramadan, not in the last week. An ad that brings an order you cannot deliver before Eid is money spent on a refusal. Our Urdu guide to running Facebook ads covers the setup and how much you can afford per order. Turn ads off on the date you stop taking Eid orders.

Look at when your orders came in last Ramadan, if you sold then, and post at those times. Your own numbers beat any general advice about the best hour.

Handle the rush

If your orders bunch up in the last two weeks before Eid, refusals can bunch up with them. With cash on delivery the buyer pays nothing until the door, so a buyer who ordered from two brands and kept one costs you the courier charge both ways. Confirm before you book:

  • Call or WhatsApp every order and get a clear yes before you book the courier.
  • Repeat the full amount with delivery, and the delivery date you can promise.
  • For orders that might arrive after Eid, ask whether they still want it. Some will say no, and that is cheaper than a refusal.
  • Hold any order you could not confirm. Do not ship it hoping for the best.

Our guide on how to reduce COD returns in Pakistan has the words to use on the call and the signs of a fake order. Set a daily routine for Ramadan: confirm after sehri or in the morning, pack in the afternoon, hand over before the pickup cut-off.

Packing for Eid orders

  • Buy flyers, boxes, tape and gift add-ons for the whole of Ramadan before it starts.
  • Pre-pack your best sellers in each size in the days before the rush.
  • Put the order number and the buyer’s name on a slip inside. When ten suits in the same colour go out on one day, that slip stops the wrong parcel going to the wrong city.
  • Bundles and boxes weigh more, and the courier charges by weight. Check the courier charges calculator before you price a bundle with free delivery.

Our guide to packaging for an online business covers flyer or box, sizes, and fragile items like attar and cosmetics.

After Eid: returns and exchanges

The week after Eid brings the size exchanges, the late parcels that came back, and the buyers who changed their minds. Decide your rules before the sale, not after:

  • Write the exchange window on every product and in the sale post, counted from delivery. If your courier is closed over Eid, say how that counts.
  • Say what a sale item allows. If discounted pieces are exchange only, or final, write it before the order, not when the buyer asks.
  • Check returned parcels in the day they arrive, and put the stock back in your count so you do not sell the same piece twice.
  • Reply to every exchange message with a date you will ship the new size, even if it is after the holidays.

Our guide to a return and exchange policy in Pakistan has a sample policy, and the store policy generator writes one for you.

A Ramadan plan, week by week

  • Before Ramadan: order main stock, book stitching, ask your courier the three questions, pick the offer and check it in the calculators, buy packing.
  • Week one: announce the offer and the last order date to past buyers, start ads, run the early-bird price.
  • Week two: reorder what sold out, if your supplier can deliver in time. Shoot the bundles and gift packing.
  • Week three: remind everyone of the last order date. Confirm every order the same day it comes in, and dispatch daily.
  • Last days: stop Eid orders on your date, turn off ads, clear the dispatch backlog, and post “Eid orders closed, orders now ship after Eid”.
  • After Eid: put prices back, handle exchanges in order, and work out profit per product after returns. Write down what to change for Eid ul Adha.

Questions sellers ask

When is Eid ul Fitr 2027 in Pakistan?

It is expected around March 9 or 10, 2027. The Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia puts Ramadan 1448 from about February 8 to March 8, 2027 and Eid on March 9. Pakistan’s date is announced after the moon sighting, so it can fall on a different day. Plan for the earlier date.

What should my last order date for Eid delivery be?

Take the expected Eid date, subtract your courier’s delivery time to your farthest city, then subtract a day or two to confirm and pack, and a few more days for the courier rush before Eid. Ask your courier for their own last pickup before Eid. Give one date for your own city and an earlier one for the rest of Pakistan.

What are good Eid sale ideas for a small online store?

Bundles priced as one product, free delivery above an order amount you have worked out, a small gift with orders above a set amount, and an early-bird price for the first weeks of Ramadan. Each of these costs you less than a straight percentage off the whole store.

Should I give a discount before Eid?

Not by default. Before Eid, a buyer who needs the product by a date may care more about delivery on time than price. If you discount, do it early in Ramadan to move orders forward, and check the profit per delivered order at the sale price first.

How do I handle Eid exchanges after Eid?

Decide the exchange window before the sale and write it on the product page and in the sale post. Count the days from delivery, check whether your courier is running over the Eid holidays, and process exchanges in the order they arrive once you reopen.
