How to deliver products to customers in Pakistan
The six ways a small online seller can get a parcel to a buyer, from a courier COD account to your own rider, Pakistan Post and buyer pickup. For each: who collects the cash, who pays when the buyer refuses, tracking, and what to tell the buyer. Then a simple rule for picking one per order.
Six ways to get a parcel to a buyer
A small online seller in Pakistan has six real options. They differ on four things that decide your profit: who holds the buyer’s cash, how fast it reaches you, who pays when the buyer refuses, and whether anyone can track the parcel.
- A courier COD account, for regular parcels to other cities.
- A courier’s retail counter, for one or two parcels a day with no account.
- Pakistan Post, for towns your courier does not reach.
- Your own rider, for your own city.
- Bykea, for a same-day parcel in your city without a rider of your own.
- Buyer pickup, for buyers close to you.
Everything about a courier, Pakistan Post or Bykea below comes from their own pages, checked in October 2026.
A courier COD account
This is the route for parcels to other cities once you send them every day. You book in the courier’s app or portal, the rider picks up or you drop off, and the courier’s rider collects cash from the buyer.
- Who collects the cash: the courier, which pays you later on its own cycle. See when couriers pay sellers for how long that takes and how to check it.
- Refused parcel: the charge is in your agreement. Ask what a return costs before you sign.
- Tracking: a tracking number for every parcel, which the buyer can check on the courier’s site.
- Tell the buyer: the courier’s name, the tracking number, and the exact amount to pay the rider.
How to open the account is in our Urdu guide to opening a courier COD account. Which courier to choose is in the best courier service in Pakistan for online business.
Book at a courier counter, no account
If you send one or two parcels a day, you do not need an account yet. Several couriers take COD parcels over the counter at their express centres.
- Leopards Retail COD is built for this. You register at an express centre with your name, CNIC, mobile number and bank IBAN, and get a shipper ID on your phone. You pay the service charge when you book, and Leopards sends the COD cash to your bank account weekly. It says Retail COD has no return fees and that pickup costs nothing extra.
- TCS Retail COD is for small businesses and home-based sellers, with “no complicated account requirements”. TCS does not publish its payout timing or return charge on that page, so ask at the counter.
- SLGTrax takes walk-in COD parcels at its retail outlets.
- Who collects the cash: the courier, paid to your bank later.
- Refused parcel: none at Leopards Retail COD, by its own terms. At the others, ask.
- Tracking: a tracking number on your receipt.
- Tell the buyer: the courier and tracking number, and the amount to pay.
The cost of a counter is your time: a trip to the express centre for every batch. When that trip becomes daily, it is time for an account with pickup from your door.
Pakistan Post: VPP and UMS COD
Pakistan Post has two cash on delivery services. Use them for a town your courier does not serve.
Value Payable Post (VPP). Pakistan Post’s own description: it lets traders “recover through the agency of the post office the value of articles supplied by them”. The buyer pays when the parcel arrives. As of October 2026, its VPP rates, revised from October 1, 2026 and covering postage, registration and the VP fee, are:
| Weight | VPP rate |
|---|---|
| Up to 1 kg | Rs 280 |
| 1–3 kg | Rs 420 |
| 3–5 kg | Rs 560 |
| 5–10 kg | Rs 780 |
| 10–15 kg | Rs 1,000 |
The table on the page runs up to 30 kg.
UMS COD. Pakistan Post’s UMS COD runs in the 226 cities and towns on its UMS network, listed on that page. A parcel can weigh up to 30 kg and the COD amount can go up to Rs 100,000. Its rules say amounts up to Rs 50,000 are collected at the buyer’s door, and parcels worth more are delivered at the window of a designated post office. Check the current UMS COD tariff at the counter.
- Who collects the cash: the post office, which sends it on to you.
- Refused parcel: neither page says what you pay. Ask at the counter before you book.
- Tracking: Pakistan Post says ep.gov.pk is its tracking site. Give the buyer that address, since Pakistan Post warns about fake tracking sites asking for payment.
- Tell the buyer: the parcel comes by Pakistan Post, the amount to pay, and the tracking number.
Your own rider in your own city
For buyers in your city, you, a family member or a rider you pay per trip can deliver. The cash comes back with the rider the same day, with no courier between you and the buyer.
- Who collects the cash: your rider, who hands it to you that evening. Count it against the day’s orders.
- Refused parcel: you pay for a wasted trip and the parcel comes straight back to you, unopened.
- Tracking: none. The rider calls the buyer before reaching, and you call the buyer if the rider is late.
- Tell the buyer: the day and a time window, the rider’s name and number, and the exact amount so they keep change ready.
Group your city orders into one or two runs a day by area, so one trip carries several parcels.
Bykea for a same-day parcel
If you have no rider, Bykea runs parcel delivery inside the city. Its own app listing says it books “45 minutes instant delivery” within the city, offers parcel insurance, and can collect cash on delivery at the buyer’s door. The cash goes into your Bykea wallet as soon as it is collected, and you withdraw it from there. Check in the app that delivery runs in your city.
- Who collects the cash: the Bykea rider, into your Bykea wallet.
- Refused parcel: you paid for the trip, and bringing it back is another trip. Check the fare in the app.
- Tracking: the booking sits in your app. Send the buyer the rider’s name and number.
- Tell the buyer: a Bykea rider is coming within the hour, and the amount to pay.
It suits the order a buyer wants today, a fragile piece you do not want in a courier’s sorting centre, or a rush around Eid when your own rider is full.
Buyer pickup
A buyer in your area can collect from your home, shop or a fixed spot. Nothing is spent on delivery, and the buyer sees the product before paying.
- Who collects the cash: you, at the handover.
- Refused parcel: nothing to pay. The cost is stock held for someone who does not come.
- Tracking: not needed.
- Tell the buyer: the address with a map pin, the hours, and how long you will hold the order.
If you sell from home, give a nearby landmark or a shop you trust instead of your own door.

Pick one per order
You do not have to choose one route for the whole business. Decide per order:
- Same city or not? Same city goes by your own rider, or by Bykea if it has to arrive today. Pickup if the buyer offers. Every other city goes by courier.
- Does your courier reach the town? If not, check the town against Pakistan Post’s UMS COD list, or send it by VPP.
- Heavy or bulky? A big, light box can be charged on its volumetric weight. Put the weight and box size into the courier charges calculator before you quote delivery, and compare it with a rider’s fare if the buyer is in your city.
- Fragile? In your city, hand it over yourself. To another city, pack it for a drop, and ask about cover: Bykea lists parcel insurance, and TCS offers Customer Voluntary Insurance against loss or damage, on its own terms.
- A new or doubtful buyer? Confirm the order by phone first. A refused parcel costs you something on every route except pickup.
Whichever route you use, print a clear label with the buyer’s name, phone, full address and COD amount. The free shipping label maker makes one from the order details.
The delivery fee you charge has to cover the most expensive route you use. How to set it, and a free delivery amount, is in delivery charges for an online store in Pakistan.
Where your store fits
On Storelala, buyers pay by cash on delivery, JazzCash, Easypaisa or card, chosen at checkout. You set one delivery fee for your store and, if you want, an order amount above which delivery is free. When you send a parcel by PostEx, Leopards or TCS, you book it right from the order screen, and the tracking number goes to the buyer on WhatsApp.
Questions sellers ask
How do I deliver products to customers in Pakistan?
For buyers in other cities, book a courier with cash on delivery, either on a courier account or at a courier’s express centre without one. For buyers in your own city, your own rider or an app like Bykea can deliver the same day and bring the cash back faster. Pakistan Post covers towns where your courier does not deliver, and buyers near you can pick up.
How can I send a COD parcel without a courier account?
Use a retail COD counter. Leopards Retail COD registers you at an express centre with your name, CNIC, mobile number and bank IBAN, you pay the service charge when you book, and it pays COD cash to your bank weekly. TCS and SLGTrax also take walk-in COD parcels at their express centres.
Does Pakistan Post do cash on delivery?
Yes, two ways. Value Payable Post collects the price from the buyer and sends it to you, with rates by weight. UMS COD runs in 226 cities and towns on the UMS network, takes parcels up to 30 kg, and allows a COD amount up to Rs 100,000.
How do I deliver in my own city on the same day?
Send it with your own rider or book a delivery in the Bykea app. Bykea’s own listing says it delivers within the city in about 45 minutes, can collect cash on delivery at the buyer’s door, and puts that cash in your Bykea wallet once it is collected.
Who pays when a buyer refuses a COD parcel?
It depends on the route. With your own rider or a ride app you have paid for a trip that brought no cash. With a courier, the return charge is in your agreement, so ask before you sign. Leopards says its Retail COD has no return fees.
