How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Add your PNG files, choose JPG as the format and set the quality. 85 is good for most photos. The converted files appear with their new size, and you can download them one by one or all together as a zip.
What happens to a transparent PNG when I make a JPG?
JPG cannot be see-through, so the empty area is filled with a colour. It is white by default, and you can pick any other colour. If you need to keep the transparency, choose PNG or WebP as the output.
How do I convert WebP to JPG or PNG?
Add the WebP files and choose JPG or PNG. Many sites save pictures as WebP, and some forms and apps do not accept it, so this gives you a file that works everywhere.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, and nothing leaves your phone or computer. Only your format, quality and colour choices are remembered on this device.
Why did my PNG get smaller as a JPG, or the other way round?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so photos are large as PNG. JPG drops detail you cannot see, so it is much smaller. Going from JPG to PNG makes the file bigger and does not bring back lost detail. Use PNG for logos, screenshots and sharp text, and JPG for photos.
Will the photo come out sideways?
No. Phones save a portrait photo with a note to rotate it, and we turn the photo upright before we convert it, so the result looks the same as in your gallery.
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Not here, because most browsers cannot open HEIC. Use our HEIC to JPG tool and then bring the JPG back here if you need PNG or WebP.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 20 at a time, 12 MB each. If you have more, convert 20, download the zip and start over.
