What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. It keeps the same picture in a much smaller file than JPG. The problem is that many websites, older phones and Windows computers cannot open it, so uploads to WhatsApp Web, Daraz Seller Center and some store builders fail. JPG opens everywhere.
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Choose your HEIC photos or drop them on the box, pick the quality and the size, and wait a few seconds. Each photo gets its own Download button, and Download all as zip saves them together. You can mix HEIC, JPG, PNG and WebP files in one go.
How do I make my iPhone take JPG instead of HEIC?
Open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay as HEIC, so convert those here. Note that Most Compatible files are bigger, so they take more space on the phone.
Will the quality go down?
A little, as with any JPG. The default is 88 out of 100, which looks the same on a phone screen. Raise it to 95 for the best detail, or lower it for smaller files. Keep original size leaves the pixels as they are, and the other sizes only shrink a photo, never enlarge it.
Are my photos private? Is my location removed?
Your photos are sent once, converted in memory and not saved. Nothing stays on our server after the JPG comes back. The location, the phone model and the other camera details are removed from the JPG, so you can share it without giving away where it was taken.
Can I convert a Live Photo or a burst?
Only the main picture is taken. If a HEIC file holds more than one image, such as a Live Photo, the JPG is the photo you see in your gallery and the rest is left out. Photos that are rotated on your phone come out the right way up.
Is there a limit?
Up to 20 photos at a time, 12 MB each, and 60 photos every 10 minutes from one connection. It is free and you do not need an account.
