What is the WhatsApp Business cover photo ratio?
16:9, wide and short, the same shape as a phone video held sideways. A 1,211 × 681 picture is 16:9. A photo with another shape is cropped when you set it, so it is easier to start with the right shape.
Where does the profile picture sit on the cover?
Your round profile picture is drawn over the lower part of the cover, and phones trim the edges by different amounts. WhatsApp does not publish exact positions for Android or iPhone, so the guide in the preview is only a rough one. How do I add a cover photo in WhatsApp Business?
Save the cover to your phone, then open WhatsApp Business. Go to the Tools tab and tap Profile. Tap the cover photo, then the gallery icon to choose the saved picture, or the camera icon to take a new one. Crop or rotate it if needed and tap Done. To take it off, use the menu on the cover photo and choose Remove.
Is the cover photo public?
Yes. By default, anyone who opens your business profile can see the cover photo, so only put on it what you want customers to read, such as your shop name, phone number and delivery cities.
Which file type should I save, JPG or PNG?
JPG is smaller, so it uploads quickly on a slow connection, and it looks fine for a cover. PNG is sharper on flat colour and text but the file is larger. If you are unsure, take the JPG.
Can I put Urdu on my cover photo?
Yes. Type the shop name, tagline or cities in Urdu and the text is set in Nastaliq. It shrinks to fit, so long lines stay inside the picture.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The cover is drawn inside your browser, and your photo never leaves your device.
