    Questions

What size should a price tag be?

For clothes, a hang tag of 2 × 3.5 inches (about 50 × 90 mm) is common. For stickers, 50 × 30 mm suits boxes and bags, and 38 × 25 mm suits small items. You can also type any custom size in millimetres.

How do I make price tags from a list in Excel or Google Sheets?

Copy the rows from your sheet and paste them into the box: name, code, price, sale price, size. The tool makes one tag per row and tells you which rows it read and which it left out, and why.

Can I show a sale price with the old price crossed out?

Yes. Fill in the sale price and the old price is shown struck through beside it. Prices use commas and Rs, for example Rs 2,499.

Does the barcode scan at a shop counter?

The barcode is Code 128, which common scanners read. Print at 100% and keep the bars black on white. Test one printed tag with your scanner before you print them all.

How do I print the tags?

Choose Print or save the sheet and print at 100%, not Fit to page. Use plain A4 paper and cut along the guides, or A4 sticker sheets for stickers. Each sheet has a 10 mm square so you can check the size with a ruler.
