Where to paste it
WordPress
- Edit the page and add a Custom HTML block.
- Paste the code into the block.
- Press Preview to check, then Update.
Shopify
- Open Online Store, then Themes, then Customize.
- Add a Custom Liquid section where the map should sit.
- Paste the code and Save.
Wix
- In the editor press Add, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML.
- Choose Code, paste it and press Apply.
- Drag the box to the size you like. Wix sizes it, so pick Responsive off.
Blogger
- In the post editor switch to HTML view, or use Layout, Add a Gadget, HTML/JavaScript.
- Paste the code where the map should appear.
- Switch back to Compose and Publish.

How do I get the Google Maps embed code for my website?
Search for your shop or tap the map, set the size and zoom, and press Copy code. Paste it into the HTML of your page. This tool makes the code without an API key, so you do not need a Google Cloud account.
How do I embed a Google Map in WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Blogger?
Paste the code into an HTML block. In WordPress use a Custom HTML block. In Shopify use a Custom Liquid section. In Wix add an Embed code element. In Blogger add an HTML gadget. The notes under the code show each one.
How do I make the map fit a phone screen?
Turn on Responsive. The map then takes the full width of its space and keeps its shape, so it shrinks on a phone and stays sharp on a computer. A fixed pixel width can overflow a small screen.
Can I show the map in Urdu?
Pick Urdu under Language. Google then writes its map labels and buttons in Urdu where it has them. Place names the map owner added in English stay in English.
Does the embed need an API key or cost anything?
This code uses the plain embed address that Google Maps itself gives for sharing, so it needs no key and costs nothing. Google may change or limit it, so test your page after you publish.
Can I paste a Google Maps link instead of searching?
Yes. Paste a full Google Maps link and the pin lands on the place. Short maps.app.goo.gl links cannot be read by a web page. Type the place name in the search box instead, or open the link on a computer and copy the long address from the address bar.
